Many of us have been counting down the days until April, when the first batch of PA Birth/Death Certificates will become available on Ancestry.com. Latest word is that it will be April 17th.
How many certificates are you waiting on? I had ordered about six a couple years ago from the PA Department of Health (though they are now available from the PA State Archives instead), because I didn't want to wait for them to be available on Ancestry.com but I have another 40+ that weren't urgent enough to order by mail. And those are just the people who I have the applicable death dates for, I'm also hoping that a lot will pop up for people whose death info I just don't know to begin with. But then again, Ancestry.com has never been good at finding death records unless their is a death date already entered (useful!).
